Clinical Supervision

Supervision should be a unique experience for you as a therapist. I work with you to determine what you need in the moment.

I am a Level 6 Clinical Supervisor and taking on supervisees.

I supervise supervisees who work with adults, groups and couples therapy, practising an integrative developmental model. This means I support you in considering different perspectives surrounding your therapeutic practice. My training and experience cover supervising therapists who work online, on the telephone, in person and asynchronously.

Warm Regards,
Heidi

My experience

I have worked and volunteered at MIND and have experience in drug and alcohol misuse. I’m experienced in adult, group and couple’s therapy. I’ve delivered mindfulness and creative therapies in groups.

I work online, face to face, by email, telephone and text.

Neurodiversity

I have lived experience of neurodiversity and understand that it is a spectrum. I have worked with people who are neurotypical and neurodivergent people.
All the varieties of human existence fascinate me, and I hold them all in equal regard.

Contact between sessions

I’m available between supervision sessions by various communication methods during working hours and by email out of hours for emergencies only.

There is more about this in my supervisory agreement, which I can send over to you when we agree on a first appointment.

How often should we meet?

This depends on your caseload; you can refer to your membership body guidelines to determine the necessary amount of supervision. We can explore this when we meet.

My preference for my practice is to have 2 x 1-hour sessions per month; however, some supervisees prefer a monthly 90-minute session; we need to determine what works best for you.

Counselling students?

I supervise counselling students and am a National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society member. (NCPS)

Working with you

I want you to know that I am invested in my supervisees and committed to working with you to support you in developing yourself and your therapeutic practice. I’m interested in your growth as well as your caseload.

With all supervision, I think it should be a confidence-building activity to help you build your own internal supervisor.
It’s okay to make mistakes and bring them to supervision for discussion. I’m open to you showing up with ALL your practice.
I’m supportive, enthusiastic, and approachable, and I have a solid ethical and moral compass.
